Back to School 2024 with BrainPOP
Unlock the full potential of every lesson, no matter what subject you teach.
At BrainPOP, we understand the importance of differentiated learning that kids love — and also aligns with your rigorous state standards. Our commitment to teachers is at the heart of everything we build. Developed for teachers by teachers, our collaborative approach ensures that your classroom’s needs are always prioritized. By involving experienced educators in designing new learning activities, we guarantee practical, effective tools that support dynamic and meaningful instruction.
From evidence-based writing and observation guidance in BrainPOP Science to cross-curricular leveled reading texts and interactive vocabulary in BrainPOP 3-8, our new learning activities—available for Back to School 2024—are crafted to ensure every teacher in every subject has the tools they need to facilitate engaging, impactful lessons.
Let’s meet your new learning activities.
New to BrainPOP (3-8)
This summer, BrainPOP is getting Moby-sized new features to better support learning at all levels, and to track (and celebrate!) learning outcomes.
Leveled Reading
Students read high-interest texts—at three different reading levels—that build extra background knowledge on concepts connected to the movie. Meanwhile, embedded assessments help students practice and apply reading strategies.
Vocab Builder
Interactive flashcards with a grade-level word bank of tier 2 words. Students engage with interactive, multi-modal activities that provide practice and application of literacy skills—including deciphering context clues and analyzing word parts.
Grade-leveled Quizzes
Enhanced quizzes go beyond traditional multiple-choice questions, allowing students to “show what they know” through technology-enhanced item types that mirror the format and rigor of their end-of-year assessments.
Teacher-Level Reports
New and improved reports have been created to cover the information teachers want—in the format they need—to make data-informed decisions for future instruction.
Bobbi Bear, Vice President of Professional Learning at BrainPOP, walks through all the new enhancements coming to BrainPOP 3-8 this summer.
New to BrainPOP Science
BrainPOP Science, BrainPOP’s award-winning middle school science solution, is getting exciting updates that will support students and teachers alike.
BrainPOP Assisted Grading™ for CER
BrainPOP Assisted Grading™ for CER suggests scores for student-submitted Claim-Evidence-Reasoning (CER) written responses which saves teachers’ time, and gives students a more consistent grading experience.
Vocabulary
Students will use word structure and context clues to decipher content-specific Tier 3 vocabulary words and continue to build the meaning of the words as they progress through the investigation.
Student Scaffolds
With scaffolds that mirror instructional best practices, students will slowly learn what an observation is, practice writing one with guidance, and feel confident writing one on their own.
Teacher Resources
Teachers can leverage their in-class time to the fullest extent—without laborious prep work in advance—and feel like they have a partner in every step of their BrainPOP Science journey.
